Erich Hochstrasser

Erich Hochstrasser is a seasoned video and motion graphics editor, with a speciality in audio post-production to boot. Editing primarily for marketing and social media, Hochstrasser has worked with higher ed institutions, large corporations, small businesses, and local organizations.

As a video editor with 10 years of experience, Erich’s mission is to turn raw media into narratives that are polished, compelling, and on-brand. Sometimes that involves finding the arc within the words of an interview and other times that means breathing life into text with color and animation.

Bringing a wizard-like mastery of Adobe CC together with a head for finding stories, every project is treated with care and precision to deliver a particular story while making it all look and sound superb.

In addition to cutting video and graphics, Erich works as a sound designer and audio post-production specialist for independent films. Though the file types may be different, the process of merging and manipulating various sounds into a unique and listenable sonic world is quite similar to assembling a mini-documentary from interview footage and b-roll.

In addition to his work in visual media, Erich is also the owner/operator of Hochstrasser Electronics, a small passion-project designing and building guitar pedals and synthesizers out of a workshop in Rockland, MA.
